Safety and security trainingSafety training comes in specialisms. Start with yours.
A door supervisor top-up, a flagger card and a five-day lead auditor course answer to different schemes. For the provider running them the work looks alike, with courses on fixed dates and a certificate that a site manager or an auditor will check. Cademy is where safety and security training providers run that work.
Find the training you run.
Workplace health and safety and construction safety have longer pages of their own.
Workplace health and safety
IOSH and NEBOSH courses, first aid, fire marshal and manual handling, mostly booked by employers for their staff and often run at the client’s own premises.
Health and safety trainingConstruction site safety
SMSTS and SSSTS blocks, working at height, plant refreshers and toolbox talks. Workers without a current card get turned away at the site gate, so contractors watch expiry dates closely.
Construction trainingSecurity and close protection
Door supervision, security officer, CCTV and close protection courses that lead to a license, plus the top-up training some officers need before they renew.
Security training, belowTraffic control and flagging
In the US, flagger and traffic control technician courses for highway crews; in the UK, traffic marshal and banksman training for yards and depots. Contractors ask which of their crew are due.
Certificates and expiry datesISO and management-system auditors
Lead auditor courses for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 usually take five days and end in an exam. When the course runs live online, each date gets its own Zoom meeting.
Accredited courses and examsCounter-terrorism and venue safety
Awareness training for stadium, venue and event staff, often bought by the venue for a whole team before the season opens. The theory can run on demand, with a short briefing on site afterwards.
Training for business clientsLand-based and environmental safety
Chainsaw, brushcutter, pesticide and ATV courses on a farm or estate, where the assessment often falls on a later day with a different assessor. Spill response and environmental awareness tend to go to the same employers.
Scheduling by trainer and venueElectrical safety
Electrical safety and inspection courses that end in a practical assessment. MJ Electrical Training lists and manages its courses on Cademy.
Technical and trades trainingExpiry dates and refreshers work the same in every specialism.
One security officer might hold a first aid certificate from October, have a license top-up under way and an awareness course still to start. Each certificate issues when the register or the last lesson says that course is done, and it reaches the learner by email with its expiry date on it. A site manager or auditor who needs to see it opens the certificate’s own view link.

- How certificates work
Security courses that lead to a license.
In the UK, door supervision, security officer, CCTV and close protection courses lead to an SIA license application, and a front-line license lasts three years. Door supervisors and security officers whose qualification predates the 2021 changes take a top-up course before renewing, and the top-up asks for a current first aid certificate. An officer can book both in one order.

Before you move your courses over.
Can I run security, first aid and site safety courses from one account?
Yes. Each course keeps its own price, dates and certificate, and from Pro each can have its own certificate template, so a door supervision certificate and a working at height certificate can look different. All of them sit on one calendar, and a learner sees every course they have booked in their own account.
Can a learner book first aid and a top-up course together?
Yes. Checkout takes several courses in one basket, so an officer can book an Emergency First Aid at Work date and a top-up date in a single order.
How do I find learners whose certificates expire soon?
Registrations sort by certificate expiry. Narrow the list to one course or look across every course, then export it to CSV or email those learners your next dates from your own templates.
How does an employer or site manager check a certificate?
Send them the certificate’s view link. Every certificate has one, and a revoked certificate stops showing there. The person who booked can also download every certificate on their order.
