Live online training softwareA live course still needs a register.
Set a course date to Online, pick the Zoom app, and Cademy creates the meeting and saves its join link on the date. Delegates find that link in their booking confirmation, in your reminder emails and in their own account. When the call ends, the trainer marks who was there, and each person marked Attended is emailed a certificate.
For scheduled live courses in leadership, finance, IT and other CPD subjects, often with delegates in several time zones, Cademy works as the virtual training platform around the Zoom call.
Zoom is linked once and chosen on each date.
A System Admin opens Apps, then Zoom, adds the account and approves it in Zoom. From then on, whoever sets up a course can choose that account. On an online or hybrid date you pick Use Zoom App, and Cademy makes a meeting for that date and keeps its link with it. A block of sessions gets one meeting per session.
Sent from Cademy to Zoom
- The meeting name, taken from the course, with the session name added if the date has one
- Start time, length and time zone of the date
- New times when you move a date on a set-dates course and save it
Set up in Zoom itself
- Passcodes and the waiting room, as your Zoom account has them
- Recording, which follows your Zoom settings
- The host is the connected account the date uses, and each date can use a different one
- Zoom and the other apps
What reaches a delegate, and when.
Finance for Non-Finance Managers runs on Zoom on Tuesday, Nov 17, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. A delegate books on Nov 2, and the booking confirmation shows the Join URL. The course has the week, day and hour reminders switched on, plus the follow-up email the day after.
An hourly check picks the reminders, so a 9:30 start gets its last one from the 8:00 check rather than at 8:30 on the dot. Each reminder goes to every delegate with an active registration on the date.
The delegate’s own account shows the link too, under the session with a Join Now button, once the order is approved and paid as the course requires. How to reduce no-shows
Mark the register on the day it ran.
The trainer, or anyone with access to the date, opens the course’s Registrants tab and gives each delegate Attended or Absent. For a full class, tick everyone and apply one status to all of them. Someone marked Absent shows as a no-show, and their registration, order and payment stay in place.
| Name | Status | Attendance |
|---|---|---|
| ARAnna Reid | Confirmed | Attended |
| THTom Hale | Confirmed | Attended |
| LALena Adeyemi | Confirmed | Attended |
| RWRuth Walsh | Confirmed | Absent |
| DPDan Price | Confirmed | Attended |
Marked Attended
- A certificate issued and emailed to the delegate, with a copy to whoever booked the place
- CPD points or hours added to the registration, from Pro
- Completed status once every session is marked Attended
- Certificates and CPD
Why the same day
- The follow-up email looks at the register about a day after the session ends
- Anyone marked later can still be sent it by hand with Send Email
- Registrants export to CSV for a client who asks who joined
- The emails Cademy sends for you
One course with dates in Leeds and on Zoom.
Delivery is set on the course, and any date can change it. Here the Nov 10 date stays at the Leeds venue while Nov 17 runs on Zoom, and a Hybrid date would carry a room and a join link both. Every date uses the course’s outline, certificate template and email settings, with its own places and price.
Highlights
Dates All Locations & Online
Set on each date
- Delivery: In-person, Online or Hybrid
- A venue, a join link, or one of each
- Places, price and currency
- Start time, end time and time zone
Emails that suit the room
- Join URL printed in the confirmation for online and hybrid dates
- Occurrence Description in a reminder pulls in each date’s own note: parking for Leeds, a headset and a quiet room for Zoom
- Calendar sync puts the join link on online dates in your Google or Outlook calendar
- Both kinds of date on one calendar
Price the afternoon date in dollars.
Delegates in Toronto book the date that fits their working day. Give that date its own currency and time zone and leave the rest of the course in pounds. Each date can be priced in GBP, USD, EUR, AUD, CAD, NZD, ZAR or MYR, and you type the price for it, so $495 stays $495. One order is paid in one currency.
Where to set it
- Account default for new courses
- Course Currency for every date that follows the course
- Currency for This Date, beside the price on one date or block
- Payments and invoicing
Open and in-house
- On Pro and above, the same course can also run privately for one firm and be paid on invoice.
- Professional and business training

Who connects Zoom, and which plans include it?
A System Admin connects it from Apps, then Zoom, and the account shows READY once it is approved in Zoom. Course Owners can then choose it on their courses. The Zoom app is on every plan, Free included, and your own Zoom plan sets limits such as meeting length.
Where do delegates find the join link?
In the booking confirmation, where it appears as Join URL, and in any reminder whose template carries the Zoom / Video Call join link tag. It is also in their account under My Courses: they open the course, expand the session and press Join Now. The link shows there once the order is approved and paid as the course requires.
Can each trainer host from their own Zoom account?
Yes. Connect more than one Zoom account and choose the one each date uses, and that account hosts the meeting. A trainer assigned in the date’s Team section can also receive it as a calendar invitation.
What happens to the meeting when I move a date?
On a course with set dates, change the time, save, and Cademy updates the meeting it already made for that date. If someone deletes the meeting in Zoom before the date has ended, saving the date creates a new one, and you send delegates the new link.
How do certificates work for a live online course?
Switch on Automatically issue certificate for the course. Each delegate the trainer marks Attended on every required session gets one by email. The default certificate is on every plan, and your own templates and CPD points or hours come with Pro.
Can I run a date on Microsoft Teams or Google Meet?
Yes. Choose Add Join URL Manually on the date and paste the meeting link. It goes into the confirmation as the Join URL, and the same mail merge tag puts it in your reminders.
