Professional and business trainingThe open course on card, the in-house run on a PO.
Sell the same course two ways: open dates to anyone with a card, in pounds, dollars, euros and other currencies, and a closed date for one client firm, booked by its L&D lead and paid on invoice. Cademy runs both for providers of professional certification and CPD, including PRINCE2 and AgilePM, ITIL 4, Lean Six Sigma, financial modeling, insurance, legal and tax updates, leadership and presentation skills.
The same course, run two ways.
The outline, the lessons, the mock exam and the certificate template belong to the course. Each date then has its own audience, price and way of paying.
| Open course | In-house, for one firm | |
|---|---|---|
| Who can book | Anyone who finds it on your booking site or in the course list on your own website | Only the client: a private date linked to its organization, kept off your public list |
| Who buys | A delegate paying for themselves, or a manager buying a few places | The firm’s L&D or HR lead, buying places for named staff or adding the names later |
| Price | Your list price, with early-bird offers, multi-place discounts and vouchers | The fee you agreed with the client |
| Payment | Card, PayPal or Klarna at checkout, in several currencies | An invoice carrying the client’s PO number (from Pro), sent to Xero with the PO on Teams |
| Delivery | Live online on Zoom or in your classroom, with the join link in every reminder | On Zoom for staff spread across several offices, or in person at the client’s premises |
| Afterwards | A certificate once attendance is marked, CPD hours from Pro | The same for each delegate, and the booker can see everyone’s progress and certificates |
| Plan | Every plan, Free included (5% platform fee on Free) | Pro and above; Teams adds Xero and the PO handoff |
Highlights
Dates All Locations & Online
Booking pages, embeds and checkout are on course booking. Dates, venues and trainers’ calendars are on scheduling.
Every live date gets its own Zoom meeting and register.
An online ITIL 4 class can fill with delegates from several countries. Add a morning date for Europe and an afternoon one for the Americas, and both sit under the same course with the same price list.
| Name | Status | Attendance |
|---|---|---|
| ARAnna Reid | Confirmed | Attended |
| TRTom Reid | Confirmed | Attended |
| LALena Adeyemi | Confirmed | Attended |
| RWRuth Walsh | Confirmed | Absent |
| DPDan Price | Confirmed | Attended |
Before the class
- A Zoom meeting for each date once your Zoom account is linked
- The join link shown with the date, then sent in the reminder emails before each date
- Pre-course reading as on-demand lessons, and a mock exam as a quiz with a pass mark and retakes
During and after
- A register for every date, which the trainer marks
- Trainers see their own dates, synced to Google Calendar or Outlook
- Certificates emailed when a delegate is marked attended, with CPD points or hours added from Pro
- A follow-up email the next day, written in your own template
Paying from abroad
- Several currencies at checkout and on invoices
- Apple Pay and Google Pay where the delegate’s device offers them
- VAT and tax worked out automatically on Teams
A firm’s bookings gather under its email domain.
An accountancy practice sends three managers on financial modeling in March and its trainees on presentation skills in May. Both orders land on the practice’s organization record, with every delegate linked to it.

The record
- Contacts join the firm automatically when they book with its email domain
- Parent and subsidiary organizations for a group with offices in several countries
- Notes and tasks on the firm, for whoever handles the account next
The person who books
Usually someone in L&D or HR. They pay for the places first and send the names once managers have picked people. If a delegate drops out after the order, they put a colleague in that place themselves, and their account shows each delegate’s progress and certificates.
The invoice
- Pay by invoice from Pro, with deposits or monthly installments if you offer them
- The PO number typed at checkout and printed on the invoice; on Teams it travels to Xero with it
- Credit notes and partial refunds for when the firm sends fewer people
Selling to companies in any subject, with HubSpot and Salesforce in the loop, is covered on B2B training. Institutes that sell CPD to their members should read professional bodies.

Cademy’s LMS makes building and running courses really straightforward, whether it’s online, blended, or SCORM-based. Quizzes are easy to set up and tracking’s simple.
Insurance, legal, finance and communication trainers on Cademy include ICA Insurance Education, Computer Law Training, DG Legal, James Hargreaves, the Institute for Fiscal Studies, Skillogy and Lightbulb Moment. Read their reviews.
Can one course have open dates and in-house dates?
Yes. Open dates work on every plan, and private dates are on Pro and above. Add the in-house date to the same course and link it to the client firm, and it uses the outline, lessons, quizzes and certificate template you already built.
Can delegates abroad pay in their own currency?
Checkout and invoices work in several currencies, and delegates pay into your own Stripe, PayPal or Klarna account. Apple Pay and Google Pay show up when the delegate’s device supports them, and on Teams VAT and tax are worked out for you.
How does a client firm pay with a purchase order?
On Pro and above, the booker picks pay by invoice at checkout and types the PO number, and the invoice shows it. On Teams, Xero receives the invoice with the PO number attached, so your accounts team can match the payment when it arrives.
Are CPD hours recorded for live online courses?
Yes, from Pro. Set the CPD points or hours on the course, and when the trainer marks a delegate attended on the register, Cademy awards them and emails the certificate. On a blended course it waits until the online lessons are complete as well.
Does each live online date get its own Zoom meeting?
Link your Zoom account once and Cademy creates a meeting for every date you add. Delegates find the join link with the date, and it goes out again in the reminder emails before each date.
Bring a course you sell both ways.
On a call we set up an open date and a private date for one client, using your own outline and prices.
