Where Cademy is different

Where the two differ on cost and setup.

Published pricing

Free, Pro and Teams are priced on the pricing page, with every limit listed. accessplanit quotes on request, based on administrator licenses, delegates trained a year, implementation package and add-ons.

Self-serve setup from day one

Sign up for the Free plan with no card, build a course and import your data. accessplanit charges a one-off implementation fee at the start of each project.

eLearning included

Online lessons, quizzes, drip release and forums are part of every Cademy plan, with SCORM 1.2 on Teams. accessplanit lists its eLearning module as an add-on at additional cost.

Xero built in

Teams connects to Xero directly, with PO numbers passed through to the invoice. On accessplanit, Sage 50 and Xero both go through Zynk, a paid add-on.

Who each one suits

Both are built for training providers, and sold in very different ways.

accessplanit may suit you better if

  • You want a vendor-led implementation project, and a sandbox environment to test in before go-live.
  • You use Sage 50, which accessplanit connects to through the Zynk integration module.
  • You need multi-language booking or a custom report writer, both available as accessplanit add-ons.
  • Your clients' managers need their own access to bookings and reports.

Cademy may suit you better if

  • You want to see the full price before a sales call.
  • You would rather start this week than plan a 60 to 90 day implementation.
  • eLearning should come in the same price as booking and training management.
  • You use Xero and do not want a middleware add-on for it.

Moving from accessplanit

How to move your records and courses.

You can do the whole move yourself, even on the Free plan. Teams brings help from our team with the migration, and Enterprise brings a migration we run for you.

1

Export your records

Pull contacts, organizations, courses, course dates and bookings out of accessplanit as spreadsheets.

2

Import into Cademy

Contacts, organizations, courses, dates, registrations and orders import from those spreadsheets, so each organization's booking history comes with it.

3

Rebuild the online parts

Upload video into the course outline, add SCORM 1.2 packages if you are on Teams, and set certificates, reminders and follow-up emails per course.

4

Go live in stages

Put new course dates on Cademy first, hidden until you switch them on, and close accessplanit when your current dates have run.

If you are on a fixed-term accessplanit contract, plan the switch around its end date.
