๐ Connect Cademy to Salesforce
Cademy can connect with Salesforce to share customer and training activity. Learn what it does and find the complete setup guide.
Cademy can now connect with Salesforce, bringing customer and training activity into the CRM your team already uses.
For organisations using both platforms, the integration keeps useful Cademy information available in Salesforce. This gives sales, customer service and training teams a clearer view of each customer's activity without having to copy information manually.
What's new
A Cademy administrator can connect your Salesforce account and choose which information to share.
The integration covers four areas:
- Contacts: keep customer details available to teams working in Salesforce.
- Organisations: connect customers with the organisations they belong to.
- Course Dates: show scheduled training alongside other customer activity.
- Registrations: show booking, cancellation and attendance information.
You can use the areas that suit your organisation and leave the others switched off.
How it works
Once connected, Cademy sends selected information to Salesforce when it is created or changed. For example, a new Contact in Cademy can appear in Salesforce, while a Registration can show whether someone booked, cancelled or attended.
The connection works in one direction:
Cademy โ Salesforce
Changes made in Salesforce are not sent back to Cademy.
Contacts are enabled when the connection is created. Organisations, Course Dates and Registrations remain off until a Cademy administrator reviews and enables them.
Administrators can also choose how Cademy information fits into the organisation's Salesforce setup and check recent activity if something needs attention. The full Salesforce setup guide explains these settings and the connection process.
Why this matters
Cademy and Salesforce often support different parts of the same customer journey. Connecting them can help your team see customer relationships, upcoming training and Registration activity in one place.
For example, someone working in Salesforce could see a customer's details, the Organisation they belong to, their Course Dates and whether they attended. This can reduce manual work and help teams work with more consistent information.
Good to know
- It does not copy your full history when connected. Supported information is sent when it is created or changed after setup.
- It does not delete information from Salesforce. Removing something from Cademy, switching off an area or disconnecting an account does not remove information already held in Salesforce.
- Existing Salesforce records may need some preparation. Read the matching guidance before enabling the connection if both systems already contain the same customers or organisations.
- Registrations need a scheduled Course Date. Registrations for on-demand or e-learning courses, and Registrations covering a whole multi-session block, are not sent to Salesforce.
- It is currently an Enterprise beta feature. Contact Cademy Support if Salesforce is not visible under Apps.
- Setup needs access to both platforms. A Cademy administrator and a Salesforce administrator will need to complete the connection. Allow around 45 minutes for the full setup.
