Articulate alternativeKeep building in Articulate. Sell and run the course on Cademy.
Articulate 360 gives you Rise and Storyline to build e-learning, and Reach to assign it to learners. Training providers also need a course page, a checkout, dates and certificates. Export your courses as SCORM 1.2 and Cademy Teams puts them inside courses people can book and pay for.
Rise and Storyline build the course. Reach assigns it to staff.
Articulate calls Articulate 360 “the #1 platform for workplace training”, and its plans are written “For L&D teams” and “For instructional designers”. Rise and Storyline are the authoring tools. Reach, in Articulate's words “a lightweight distribution tool to deploy your e-learning content”, hands courses to learners and tracks their progress. Articulate 360 AI Teams subscriptions include Reach 360 Starter, with 300 active learners over the annual term.
A learner finds the course on your website and pays, or a company books ten places and wants an invoice. Many courses add a classroom day or a Zoom session to the online part, and finish with a certificate that expires. Articulate's site does not describe booking, payments or scheduled sessions. Cademy handles those steps, with your SCORM 1.2 package from Articulate running inside the course on the Teams plan.
The same course, delivered through Reach or through Cademy.
Reach 360's help guide covers groups, managers, learning paths, reports and completion certificates. Its certificate article lists training title, learner name and completion date, and does not mention an expiry date.
Staff training, or courses you sell.
Articulate on its own fits if
- You train your own employees, and the job is to assign courses and track completion.
- Reach 360 Starter's allowance of 300 active learners over the annual term is enough, or you have upgraded Reach.
- You rely on Reach's learning paths, single sign-on and assigned managers to organize staff training.
- You use Articulate's credits for AI avatars and multi-language translation.
Add Cademy if
- Members of the public or client companies buy your courses and need a checkout.
- Your e-learning runs alongside classroom days or live sessions on Zoom.
- Learners need a certificate with an expiry date that you can sort and export.
- A company books places for its staff and wants to see each person's progress.

Before leaving Articulate.
Do I have to stop using Articulate 360?
No. Keep authoring in Articulate 360 and export each course as SCORM 1.2. Cademy Teams hosts the package inside a course that people can book and pay for.
Which export setting should I choose in Articulate?
SCORM 1.2. Articulate 360 lists it among its LMS standards, next to xAPI, SCORM 2004, AICC and cmi5.
What does Cademy Teams add to Articulate 360?
Teams is the Cademy plan that hosts SCORM 1.2, at £499 ($649) a month billed yearly or £599 ($779) monthly. Around your SCORM 1.2 package from Articulate it adds a course page, checkout through Stripe, PayPal or Klarna, classroom and Zoom dates, certificates with expiry dates, company invoicing with PO numbers and Xero. Courses built with Cademy's own lessons and quizzes run on Free and Pro as well.
Can companies buy my e-learning for their staff?
Yes. A company buys the places, adds or drops names later, and can check every attendee's progress and certificates. Pay by invoice is available from Pro.
