You can now choose exactly which search and filter controls visitors see on each embedded course listing.
The same choices are available in the Standard Website Embed builder and the Cademy Courses block for WordPress, so you can keep each listing focused on what matters to its audience.
Choose what visitors see
For each course listing, you can show or hide:
- Search Bar
- Delivery
- Location
- Collection
- Category
- Tags
- Level
For example, a local training listing could show only Location and Category, while a small curated listing could hide every search and filter control for a clean, listing-only view.
Standard Website Embeds
From your Cademy dashboard, go to Apps > Embeds, choose Multiple Courses, then open Options > Search & Filters.
The button shows All Filters, No Filters, or the number currently selected. Open it and tick only the controls you want visitors to use.
When you are ready, select Get Code and add the updated code to your website.
Cademy for WordPress
Edit the WordPress page containing your Cademy Courses block. Select the block, then open Block settings > Search & Filters.
Use the Search Bar toggle and filter checkboxes to choose what appears. The course preview updates in the editor, so you can check the result before saving the page.
Good to know
- Existing course listings are unchanged. Search and all relevant filters remain visible unless you change their settings.
- A selected filter still stays hidden when none of the courses in that listing have matching information.
- If a listing already shows one specific collection, Collection is not offered as a filter because visitors cannot switch to another collection.
- You can hide every option, including Search Bar, to create a clean course listing with no filter bar.
Frequently asked questions
Can I hide every filter and the Search Bar?
Yes. Turn off Search Bar and untick every filter. Visitors will see only the course listing.
Why is a filter I selected not visible on my website?
Filters without matching course information stay hidden automatically. For example, Location will not appear when the listing has no courses with a location to choose from.
Why can I not select Collection?
Your listing is already limited to one collection. Collection is therefore hidden because visitors cannot use it to narrow the listing any further.
Will my existing course embeds change?
No. Existing embeds keep their current behaviour and continue to show all relevant search and filter controls.
How do I update an existing listing?
For a Standard Website Embed, configure the updated listing, select Get Code, and replace the old embed code on your website. For WordPress, change the Cademy Courses block settings and save or update the page.
Are the same choices available in both embed options?
Yes. Standard Website Embeds and the Cademy for WordPress block both let you control Search Bar, Delivery, Location, Collection, Category, Tags, and Level.
