You can now choose exactly which information appears on course cards in your embedded course listings.
The same Card Details choices are available in the Standard Website Embed builder and the Cademy Courses block for WordPress. This gives each listing the right level of detail for its purpose, from a detailed course catalogue to a simple visual list.
Choose what each card shows
You can show or hide:
- Dates
- Delivery & Location
- Price
- Rating
- Duration
- Level
- Category
- Tags
Dates, Delivery & Location, Price, and Rating are selected by default. Existing course listings therefore keep their current appearance unless you change their settings.
For example, you could hide Price on an introductory course listing, add Duration and Level to help visitors compare courses, or clear every option to create a minimal card.
How to set it up
Standard Website Embed
From your Cademy dashboard, go to Apps > Embeds, choose Multiple Courses, select any layout except Calendar, then open Options > Card Details.
The button shows Default Details, All Details, No Details, or the number currently selected. Open it and tick only the information you want to show.
Select Get Code when you are ready to add or update the embed on your website.
Cademy for WordPress
Edit the WordPress page containing the Cademy Courses block. Select the block, then open Block settings > Card Details.
Tick or clear the details you want to show, check the course preview, then save or update the page.
How the extra details appear
- Duration can appear for scheduled, on-demand, and on-request courses.
- When a course belongs to several categories, the card shows the first category and the number of additional categories.
- A card shows up to three Tags, followed by the number of additional tags when there are more.
- A selected detail stays hidden on an individual card when that course has no matching information.
Good to know
- Your account settings still take priority. If pricing or reviews are hidden across your Cademy account, Price or Rating stays hidden on embedded cards.
- In the Standard Website Embed builder, an unavailable Price or Rating option is disabled and shows Hidden by your account settings.
- Rating does not appear on Rows or Dates List in a Standard Website Embed. It also does not appear on Rows or Dated Rows in WordPress, even when selected.
- On Dates List and Date Cards in a Standard Website Embed, and Dated Rows and Date Cards in WordPress, clearing Dates removes only the smaller date and time detail. The large date area remains.
- Clearing every option leaves the course image and course name. A sold-out indicator and the large date area on dated layouts still remain when relevant.
- Card Details is available for Multiple Courses listings, but not the Calendar layout.
Frequently asked questions
Will my existing course cards change?
No. Existing listings keep the current default details: Dates, Delivery & Location, Price, and Rating.
What happens if I clear every Card Details option?
The card keeps the course image and course name. A sold-out indicator can still appear. The large date area also remains on dated layouts.
Why is a detail I selected not visible?
The course may not have information for that detail. For example, Rating stays hidden when the course has no reviews. Price and Rating also stay hidden when pricing or reviews are disabled in your account settings.
Why can I not select Price or Rating in the Standard Website Embed builder?
That information is hidden by your account settings. The option is disabled and shows Hidden by your account settings so the embed settings do not contradict your account settings.
Why is Rating missing from a row layout?
Rating is not displayed on Rows, Dates List, or Dated Rows. Use Grid or Date Cards when you want ratings to appear.
Why does the large date area remain after I clear Dates?
On a dated layout, Dates controls the smaller date and time detail on the course card. The large date area is part of the layout and always remains.
Can I show the course facilitator on cards?
No. Facilitator is not included in the current Card Details choices.
How do I update an existing listing?
For a Standard Website Embed, configure the updated listing, select Get Code, and replace the old embed code on your website. For WordPress, change the Cademy Courses block settings and save or update the page.
