Sewing machine maintenance DIY workshop

Description

All sewing machines benefit from regular cleaning and basic maintenance. Do you know how to care for your machine? During this workshop Jenny will teach you how to clean and maintain your sewing machine and provide you with a helpful guide to take home.

She will also cover needles, threads and tension so you get a well rounded overview of how your machine works mechanically so you can troubleshoot the typical problems sewing machine users face. At the end of the session you will be able to confidently clean your machine and know when you need to consult a repair engineer.

Bring along your sewing machine and its instruction manual. 

About the tutor

Jenny Feeney was born in upstate New York. She moved to the UK in 1999 when I married hubby in Banbury. She has been quilting for over 30 years, is self-taught and soon began designing her own patterns. Jenny discovers that Applique is her passion, together with machine and hand quilting with embroidery embellishments. She began teaching around 2017 and expanded into machine servicing and repairs in 2022. 

As always you will received a warm welcome and a cuppa and cake. This workshop will be held in the sewing studio upstairs at Stitching Kitchen.
