Come along to Stitching Kitchen and have fun with fabric and thread while creating your own super versatile Sonny Jacket in this two day workshop! This easy-fit jacket comes in two lengths and two collar options, allowing you to personalize your design. Whether you choose reclaimed denim or fresh new fabric, your finished jacket will be stylish and unique.
Taking accurate measurements, choosing suitable size and style
Making pattern adjustments, cutting fabrics, applying interfacing
Assembling the main jacket, mock flat-felled seams, pocket details
Tackling the collar, final construction, and finishing touches
While this is our planned structure, we can adapt to suit each student. Some sewing at home may be required.
Full tuition in a small group setting
Use of our Pfaff sewing machines and overlockers

Tea, coffee, and homemade cake
Fabric and notions - list will be provided on booking
Workshop materials kits will be available around a month before the workshop.
If upcycling denim, you’ll need approx. three pairs of jeans (ideally with minimal stretch)
Lunch for each day.
Please note that this workshop is held in our light and spacious first floor studio at Stitching Kitchen, which is accessible by stairs.
Hannah is an experienced textile artist passionate about fabric, thread, and sewing. She brings a wealth of knowledge in dressmaking and creative sewing techniques.
