Tired of hunting for the perfect outfit or wishing you could duplicate your favourite clothes in different colours and fabrics? Our Clone Your Wardrobe workshop is here to help! Join us at Stitching Kitchen and learn how to create sewing patterns from garments you already love—without unpicking or damaging them.
In this hands-on, creative workshop, you’ll be guided through the process of making a pattern from a simple woven garment. Perfect for beginners and improvers alike, you’ll gain essential skills that will empower you to re-create and customise your wardrobe, piece by piece.
This one-day session will give you the confidence and know-how to start replicating your favourite styles at home.
How to trace and measure an existing garment without taking it apart.
Drafting a first pattern from your chosen item.
Sewing a Mock up or toile
Techniques for altering and adjusting patterns for a better fit.
Skills to continue making or refining your garment at home.
By the end of the day, you’ll leave with:
A hand-drafted pattern based on one of your own garments.
A toile (test garment) in sheeting fabric or similar.
The confidence to continue your pattern-making journey at home.
Tuition: expert guidance from our experienced sewing tutor Claire in a small group.
Use of Pfaff and Janome sewing machines in Stitching Kitchen’s fully equipped studio.
