Whether interpreting or creating food labels for products, understanding what health and nutrition claims are and what they mean is crucial.
This course will discuss the legal requirements of making nutrition claims and health claims, identifying the differences between the two, how to calculate whether a product may bear a nutrition claim or a health claim and provide additional resources that will enable you to determine whether a health claim is permissible or not.
The course covers:
Module 1: Introduction to Nutrition and Health Claims
Module 2: Nutrition Claims
Module 3: Health Claims
Module 4: Enforcing Claims
On successful completion of a final course assessment, a personalised BNF certificate is created. (The final assessment may be repeated.)
This course will take approximately 2-3 hours to complete. You can complete the course at your own pace – there is no time limit.
