PART 1 - Theory: Complete this online at home or work in your own time (stop and start learning when it suits you).

PART 2 - Skills and Practical Development:

Covers advanced specialised phlebotomy techniques to give you the leading edge as a phlebotomist. Learn to use a wide range of non-routine equipment.

Classroom or Virtual Classroom:

Attend one of our classroom locations or join us in our virtual classroom (Zoom).

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any prior qualifications?
You will need to have completed, or be enrolled on our Introduction to Phlebotomy course (as long as the Introduction course takes place first). Alternatively, if you have previous phlebotomy practical experience at a Level 3 or above, you can skip straight to the Advanced session.
What is Phlebotomy?
The medical practice of drawing blood from a vein.
Can I take the course online?
Yes — the Virtual Classroom option includes a FREE Practise@Home Phlebotomy Training Kit (worth £79.95) so you can complete practical training from anywhere. You will need a device with a camera and a microphone to complete it via a Zoom session with a tutor.
How long is the course?
There will be 6-8 hours worth of theory to complete online, in your own time, and a day of practical training in person from 16:30-18:30.
Can I apply to work in the NHS after this course?
Yes - the NHS offer a Trainee Phlebotomist role (Pay Band 2) that would help you to gain further experience in the field.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes — you can secure your place with a deposit and pay the balance in instalments. The full amount must be paid at least 5 working days before the course date. We also offer Klarna when booking online.
When will I receive my certificate?
Digital certificates are issued within 7–14 working days after the course on your learning platform. Printed copies are available for an additional fee.
