COURSE INFORMATION
The novice course is split into 4 days of training and one day of testing.
By the end of the course delegates will have the knowledge to be able to design safe lifting plans that are compliant with the law, and take into account all health and safety requirements on site.
Days 1-4:

BS 7121 Explanation
LOLER regulations in detail
Crane appreciation
Crane stability
Accessories
Safe slinging
Mobile crane selection
Risk assessment and method statement
Supervise a lift scenario
Practical induction
Case studies lift plan exercise
Procedures for planning lifts
Day 5:
NPORS Theory Test
NPORS Practical Assessment
RAMS and Lift Plan Exercise
Please note, that in all cases, operators are required to supply proof to support their application. They have to have passed the CITB health, safety & environmental touch screen test within two years prior to their application.
Experienced operators should have sufficient experience of cranes to meet the requirements specified in British standard 7121 Safe Use of Cranes.
Good understanding of spoken and written English.
