The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (previously A1) equips learners with the skills to accurately assess the competence of candidates.
The course has three units:
Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
Assess occupational competence in the work environment
Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
The course assessment is a portfolio of evidence that consists of a written assessment, four workplace assessments and four vocational assessments.This qualification is intended for those who assess both:
occupational competence in the work environment
vocational skills and knowledge in an educational or training environment
You do not need previous experience in assessing, but must have access to a minimum of two candidates to carry out your practical assessments.
