Emergency First Aid at Work

Overview

This course is ideally suited to lower-risk workplaces where a risk assessment has identified the need for staff to possess appropriate first-aid skills and knowledge.

The course is delivered in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L74 for qualifying First Aid personnel in the workplace and complies with the Health & safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

The course is delivered under the guidance of our specialist trainers and uses the latest training techniques to maximise learner recall and confidence.

What will I learn on this course?

The content of this course provides basic lifesaving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations, covering the following:

• The role of the First Aider
• Health and safety (first aid) regulations
• Resuscitation (adult CPR)
• Communication and casualty care
• Seizures (adult)
• Bleeding (minor and severe)
• Shock
• Burns
• Unresponsive casualty
• Choking (adult)
• Defibrillator pad placement
• Defibrillator prompts and how to respond to prompts.

Certification

Successful candidates will receive a nationally recognised & accredited qualification valid for 3 years.
