Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Level 2

Description

This course looks at the initial alert and the decision-making process in deciding to make a referral, taking into consideration consent and capacity of the alleged vulnerable adult, keeping them at the centre of the decision-making process. How and who to refer to and the different types of response you could expect.

Course Aims:

• Know how to deal with concerns and refer appropriately
• Personal values and beliefs that underpin safeguarding adults 
• Recognising and responding to abuse disclosures & suspicions
• To establish a shared understanding of best working practice in offering support
• To understand procedures in line with the Care Act when reporting abuse & procedures after an alert
