Duration: 1 Day in classroom plus pre-course learning from home

Course Overview:
This Level 2 Refresher Course is a mandatory qualification for all current Security Officers who need to renew their SIA licence from April 2026 onwards. This course replaces the previous ‘Top-Up’ training requirement and is designed to refresh and update your safety-critical skills and knowledge to meet the latest SIA standards.

This course is for all current Security Officers who need to renew their SIA licence and prefer a blended learning approach and are able to complete pre-course learning from home.

Emergency First Aid in the Workplace
Principles of Working as a Security Officer in the Private Security Industry (Refresher)
Entry Requirements:
Learners must be 18+ years old
You must currently hold a valid SIA Security Officer Licence
Must be able to communicate fluently in spoken and written English
Pre-course self-study which must be completed prior to course attendance, including ACT online training
What to Bring:
Two recent passport-sized photos.
One Group A identity document (e.g., passport or full UK driving licence)
Two Group B identity documents (e.g., utility bill, bank statement, birth certificate)
ACT Awareness and ACT Security e-learning certificates (completed within the past 12 months)
Completed pre-course learning materials
