Frequently Asked Questions

• Is there an age limit?

  Our lower age limit is 10 years old and there is no upper age limit. Our oldest member was 84!

• Do I need to bring anything?

  All equipment is provided by the club - you don't need to bring anything.  Even if you do happen to own your own bow, we prefer you to use our equipment so that we can ensure safety and suitability

• Is it at The Oakleaf Sports Complex?

  Yes. Ignore the pin on the map, sessions take place in the main hall of the Oakleaf Sports Complex

• Can I get a refund if I need to cancel

  Participants may cancel their bookings for the beginners course up to 7 days before the course start date for a full refund.

  Cancellations made within 7 days of the course start date will be refunded at the discretion of the club.

  No refunds will be given once the course has started.

  Cancellations by Aycliffe Archers:

  In the unlikely event the beginners course is cancelled by Aycliffe Archers, participants will be offered either:

  1/. A full refund of fees paid 

  Or 

  2/ A transfer to an alternative course date.

• Why do you collect personal data and what happens to it?

  Aycliffe Archers collect personal details for the purposes of delivering the beginners' course and communicating any changes and information with you. This data may be shared with other organisations including but not limited to Newton Aycliffe Sports Club, Archery GB and Durham and Northumberland Archery Association. 

• Can I take photos/videos? Do you take photos/videos

  • You are welcome to take photos/videos of whoever you came with but please ensure that no-one else is in the shot.

  We may take photos during the course which may be shared in our social media groups and/or used for advertising purposes. Please let us know if you do not consent to having your photograph taken.
