You Fish Scotland

Had the opportunity to fish the private lake this morning and my arms are so sore from fighting fish. Took about an hour with Wes teaching me how to cast properly which I still haven’t mastered but the fish were right at the end of the dock so it was ok. 5 monster rainbow trout and the quickest fight was 15 min, longest was 45 with 4 separate 100+yd runs. Fishing with Wes was a fantastic experience, especially if you are willing to learn from a true expert. I thought I knew how to fly fish until I went with Wes. I learned at ton. My ability improved immensely. My wife went with us and used spinning gear. Lots of strikes, near misses and caught a pike. Wes is an incredibly stand up guy who went very far out of his way to find and deliver a Loop reel very last minute. And he spent his evening giving me free advice and encouragement as well. When I book a fishing trip in Scotland, it will be with Wes.
