We are running a series of Open Days starting on Saturday 11th May with an introduction to Lawn Bowls. The first Open Day is a fun day with "games on the green". For the other days, we are focussing on one aspect of bowling although the emphasis will be on an overall introduction. Lawn Bowls is not only tactical and strategic, but great exercise and a lot of fun too.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Lawn Bowls only for older or retired people? Answer: Not at all! Our youngest player is 10 and we have a number of players in their early 40s too.
Is bowling expensive? Answer: no, not really. There is an annual membership fee and a small fee for playing each game but compared to other sports like football, an awful lot cheaper.
Do I need specific equipment to play? Answer: no. We can provide woods for you to play with initially. If these work for you, then you can even keep them for a while too.
