This course is delivered by a qualified and experienced mindfulness teacher, Evan Curwen.

  • 16 hours of expert tuition and guidance during the live and interactive classes

  • A detailed handbook to support your learning and journal your progress

  • Free audio recordings of the practices each week to support your home learning

  • Access to an online Facebook community group

What happens in the sessions?

The sessions are consistent, we start with a short meditation to ground ourselves and settle into the class together. We reflect on our practises and discuss our experiences of home practice. We learn about aspects of stress reduction and the neuroscience of mindfulness and complete a new practice each week. The mindfulness practices include guided meditations and some gentle movement.

What is home practice?

Each week we learn a new practice together during the session and participants are given an audio recording of that practice to complete at home. This is because it takes 8 weeks of consistent practice for the benefits of mindfulness to take place. To really get the most out of this course, participants are advised to make space for home practice. (20 - 40 minutes a day)

Please note that although mindfulness is therapeutic in nature, it is not therapy and should not be used as a replacement for professional therapy or medication. A pre-assessment is required for all participants to ensure your safety and suitability for the course. We aim to be inclusive to all and may need to discuss your mental health and well-being before being accepted. Your information will only be viewed by the facilitator and will be kept confidential.
