Body doubling Short Flo Session for self-employed or employed women. It can feel isolating and lonely working from home or on the road. Procrastination and other mind games can make you feel stuck and unmotivated. Boost your productivity, accountability and connection with The Flo Sessions. Short Flo is a 2-hour 15-minute session which includes a grounding practice and intention setting at the beginning, to bring us into our working head space. We will work in sprints of 50 minutes with a short wellbeing break (optional). We will close with a personal review and group cheerleading, ending on a high to launch you into the rest of the day. Even if you are more of an introvert, these sessions are for you, there is no pressure to talk to the group, we will use chat to share our intentions but you don't even need to do that if you'd rather not.   • What is Body Doubling?

    Body doubling is simply working in the presence of others either physically or virtually. Have you ever wondered why working from a coffee shop, a co-working space or library has made you more productive? It's probably because you've experienced a form of body doubling.

    Originally born from research on coping strategies for people with ADHD, the technique is also being adopted by neurotypical people looking to reduce isolation, increase motivation, accountability and enhance and optimise productivity. 

    Essentially, witnessing other people working can cultivate a sense of connection and soft accountability and eliminates potential distractions to complete tasks more efficiently.

    Think of it as the grown-up version of a study group, but instead of cramming for exams, you're smashing through your to-do list.

    This technique helps you stay focused, increases productivity, and alleviates the loneliness that often comes with working solo.

  • What is the short flo schedule?

    Short Flo Session is 2 hours 15 minutes. The first few minutes is reserved for intention setting and a grounding practice to prepare our mind for deep focus. Their are two sprints of 50ish minutes with an optional wellbeing practice in the break. We finish with around 10minutes to review and celebrate together.

  • Do I have to stay the whole time?

    No you don't, but it would be great if you could. It's important that we start together and tap into the collective energy. If you do need to go early, then please let us know in the chat and try to leave in the break rather than in the middle of a sprint.

  • Where do we meet?

    We meet on Zoom, you will receive the link when you book. Camera's are best on (that's the point of body doubling, witnessing other people working alongside you) but if you need to turn it off at any time, no problem. Sound will be off except when we gather together at the beginning, breaks and at the end.
