They were industrially recognised by the STA as the first independent swimming school to achieve stamark accreditation. This award independently verified by the institute of leisure management recognises high standards within the industry and is a form of self regulation. They attained investment in people status in 2003 and were short listed for the business of the year awards for two years running. Through the friends of the swim school they worked tirelessly to promote disabled and special need swimming helping numerous individuals and groups access swimming lessons. In April, 2007 they sold The Swim School to concentrate solely on one to one swimming tuition at their new purpose built pool situated at the Croft, Hasland, Chesterfield.
