I joined this club around 2 years ago and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it. I stopped practising Aikido around 25 years ago, but Takeda Ryu was immediately recognizable (as it has the same origins as Morihei Ueshiba's Aikido), and I managed to get back into training after such a long time. I had moved to Basingstoke away from my hometown and was really reluctant to try new things not knowing anybody, Nicolas however put those fears to rest from minute one. He is extremely knowledgeable and looks to make you feel at ease in a rather intimidating practise if you've never done martial arts before! Would highly recommend joining if you want to try a new sport. Great people and content!

Great art, practiced with a great team and within a great atmosphere. The sensei is fantastic, and so are the students. I have been a member for a year now, and I am looking forward to the next one.
