  • I started lessons with Nathan 3 months ago as an adult beginner on a bit of a lockdown whim, and I would highly recommend him. He's very engaging and patient and adapts to the right level of challenge to keep you motivated. He's also been great at catching where I'm going wrong, even online, and clearly explaining techniques. After 10 years of butchering the violin and thinking I had minimal musical talent, I'm very happy with how far I've already progressed on the sax and it's really testame...

  • I started lessons with Nathan in September as an adult beginner saxophonist and would highly recommend him as a teacher. He's really patient, encouraging and engaging, with just the right degree of humour. I've been particularly impressed at how he handles online teaching with a complete beginner (even navigating long distance instrument repair after I managed to bash it). • Our nine year old son has been having Saxophone lessons with Nathan online since August and he has been really enjoying them. Nathan is very clear, encouraging and patient as a teacher and our son is progressing well, already working on Grade 1 pieces. We are delighted that we started lessons online which has enabled our son to learn an instrument during these times when school isn't always open. We have been very lucky to find such a good teacher also!

Since I live in a rural area it also means that I don't need to get in the car and drive many miles to a lesson. In addition, learning online means that I have access to someone of Nathan's calibre. Nathan is a very encouraging, patient and supportive teacher. I decided to have l...

  • My son Alistair, 14 years old, has been taking lessons in the last 6 months and his level has significantly increased. Nathan proposes a mix of plays, technics and has been able to keep him motivated. Nathan has a very good contact, strong listening and communication skills and has created right from the beginning a trustful relationship: key for success. The lessons are very well structured and he is encouraging the student and highlighting his success. The use of Zoom has been very efficien...
