Newcastle Goju-Ryu Karate Academy

I have been a student at Newcastle goju for around 7 years and I've had the chance to meet new friends and train with lots of different people from different backgrounds. This club has helped me with my fitness, discipline, concentration and of course has helped me boost my confidence and its a fun place for all ages. Especially during this lockdown, Sensei Aaron has gone above and beyond by providing online classes, YouTube Videos and weekly social media challenges so we can all stay connect...

I have been training at this karate club for 11 years now and it’s been one of the best things to help me with my confidence, social skills and many more things. Sensei Aaron is a brilliant instructor and teaches more than just karate, he teaches discipline and great life skills. I would 100% recommend this club to any ages.

Kids have joined this club for nearly five years and although the number of members is getting much higher but they still enjoy going there and learn more about Karate. Membership fees are reasonable especially if more people from the same family join the club.

My little boy, 6, has been coming to the class for a couple of months now and he absolutely loves it! Aaron is a brilliant instructor and role model for all of the children, and the respect he commands in the dojo is impressive. He has a dedicated team who are always on hand to offer advice and guidance to the students. The classes are so much fun, we always leave smiling! I would recommend this class to anyone!

Sensei Aaron sees each child as an individual. As such he guides and nurtures them, both their strengths and weaknesses. As a former military instructor I am very impressed by Aaron's teaching, attitude and dedication, all the things one so often wishes for in a role model but so often doesn't get. His assistant instructors are a credit to him and themselves. The whole ethos is excellent and I highly recommend this Academy.
