Welcome to this Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) training for early years practitioners in Scotland. Creating a safe, healthy and nurturing environment is fundamental to supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing. Every member of the early years workforce has an important role in preventing the spread of infection through effective hygiene practices, appropriate cleaning procedures and prompt responses to illness. This training will provide you with the knowledge and practical guidance needed to apply infection prevention and control measures confidently in your setting, in line with current Scottish guidance and best practice. By completing this session, you will strengthen your understanding of how everyday actions help protect children, families, colleagues and the wider community while promoting high standards of care.
