Join us in Plymouth for an in-person conference dedicated to exploring the best ways to support outcomes for EAL both inside and outside the classroom.
This event will bring together educators, school leaders, and practitioners from across the region to share insights, strategies, and whole school approaches that ensure every learner feels included, supported, and able to thrive - focusing in on assessment, evidencing and achievement.

Practical strategies for supporting multilingual learners in the classroom
Opportunities to network and share best practice with colleagues
The conference will feature contributions from experienced practitioners and school leaders. Emily Hunt, Head of Customer Success at FlashAcademy®, will open the event, sharing insights from her work supporting schools nationwide.
Lukasz Mlodziniak, EAL Coordinator at Lipson Cooperative Academy, will present strategies grounded in classroom practice. Kelly Dicks, Headteacher at Filton Hill Primary School and EAL Lead for Olympus Academy Trust, will discuss whole-school approaches that have supported new arrivals.
A panel discussion will explore the implications of the new Ofsted inclusion framework for EAL learners and how schools can evidence strong provision. Attendees will also benefit from a practical resource session, leaving with clear, actionable ideas to take back to their settings.
