Moved onto Melanie’s yard in September 2022 and I can honestly say, it was the best decision we could have made. The yard is extremely well run and everyone is friendly and welcoming. Stables are spacious and turnout is available year round. Melanie is an expert in equine care and behaviour and is a font of knowledge. My horse is settled and content and I have every confidence that the staff at Skidby Instinctive Horse Training love him as much as I do x

The most caring and supportive environment you and your horse could ever find yourselves. After just a few minutes of talking to Melanie I knew that if I were a horse this is where I would want to live! No problem with your horse is too big (not that there are problems, only opportunities for training and learning) and no worry of yours is too small. Melanie and her staff are fantastic - I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Have my horse on livery at Melanie's yard. Meanie is an outstanding horse woman and trainer who literally works miracles with troubled horses teaching them to trust their environment through their own choice using positive support. Highly recommend her.

It has shown me an new and completely refreshing way of working with horses, some of which were angry and had "issues" which didn't involve any force or coercion on Melanie's part at all. Everything was done peacefully and quietly, giving the horses some "time out" when they needed it. The day finished wi...
