Stronger Relationships, Braver Teams
Mastering Designing the Alliance
The world is asking more of our relationships than ever — more complexity, more division, more change arriving faster than teams can absorb it. And the hardest problems we face, in our teams and beyond them, turn out not to be strategic at root. They’re relational. We can’t think our way through them alone; we can only do it together — and that takes relationships strong enough to hold the weight.
This is a session about building exactly that. Designing the Alliance is five simple questions, but it’s the first tool that brings the voice of the relationship into the room and gives people a shared language for how they want to be together, to resource themselves and when things get hard.
Designing the Leader Alliance does the same for those holding the conversation, the power, the rank. Used well, they build the kind of trust that lets a team face what it’s been avoiding — and invites those leading to listen to what the team already knows.
Three hours to consider, practice, and walk away confident in how you — as a leader, coach, manager, tech specialist or in HR — can bring a team to commit to the time this takes, and position the team for success in delivering its task. This isn’t a reflection exercise, and it isn’t a stand-up. Designing an alliance is co-creating how a team moves forward to deliver the task in front of it.
You will co-create an alliance, deliver one as facilitator, and learn the art of giving and receiving feedback. You’ll practice the real skill: reading what a system is surfacing, hearing what a team can’t yet be with, and trusting the work to hold you while you find the next move.
No experience needed. Whether you’re ORSC-curious or a seasoned practitioner, come and play, and leave with one of the most powerful relationship tools there is.
