In this series of five workshops, you will work in a group coaching environment with other women/identify as women academics to support your progress towards your goal of a leadership position in higher education. It doesn’t matter what stage in your career you are currently at, or how long you have been working in higher education.
The purpose of the five workshops if to help you to establish clear career goals and identify ways to progress in the current academic year towards these, in a way that is personal to you and your values. Workshops run once per month for four months, with a final session after a further five months to explore your progress and next steps. Workshops run on Saturdays, 09:00-11.30 GMT/BST online.
The workshops are run by Coach Academic’s director and lead coach, Dr Melanie Pope. Melanie has worked in education since 1994, in higher education since 1999, and is currently an Associate Professor at a UK university where she works in an academic leadership role. She has a coaching qualification from the University of Cambridge and is a member of the International Coaching Federation and the Association for Coaching. She is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy/Advance HE.
