Canine Support

Hi, I'm Katharine, and I am the owner and Dog Trainer at Canine Support, specialising in Tellington TTouch. I cover Somerset and Devon for in-person training but also offer a number of online courses.

I'm a whole-istic dog trainer helping you to see your dog as a whole; physically, mentally and emotionally. In our sessions, we will seek to understand how your dog's behaviour, environment, life experiences and relationship with you fit together. I can support you and your dog to move beyond the limitations of past experiences so that you can both reach your full potential and be the best version of yourselves. I share my life with a Bullmastiff and a Spanish mixed-breed rescue, but I enjoy working with dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages and backgrounds.

It's not just about training your dog. My training style is to give you the skills you need to understand your dog in order to effectively communicate with each other, so you can both feel confident and safe. By learning these skills in a low-stress environment, you will develop an unbelievable bond with your dog. With this new level of trust, together, you can then begin to positively associate with the things your dog had previously found difficult. Whether that is reacting to dogs, people, moving objects, noise sensitivity, unsure of touch, issues from Lockdown and so on.
