Description

Small groups give you an opportunity to meet other who are pregnant and get a personalised course. Classes are delivered via Zoom.

Your course covers everything you need for your pregnancy, birth and the beginnings of parenthood. Your partner is encouraged to attend with you, as it is as much for them as you. If you would like to bring additional birth partners they are very welcome, please let me know so I can accommodate them fully.

This option is approximately 12 hours, run over 4 evenings or 2 days.

All materials will be provided before the course starts.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When is the best time to come to a class?

    When you want to!

There is no best/worst time to do the course, it depends on your needs. If you are only just pregnant and worried about your pregnancy, now is the time to come to the course. If you are 39+6 and you want to prepare for birth, now is the right time to come to class (you may want a private course if you are this far along though!).

Most people come between 25-36 weeks, so if you're hoping to meet others, that gives you an idea of where most people will be.

  • Should I bring my partner?

Yes, the course is as much for birth partners as it is for you. The course teaches them how to be an amazing, supportive birth partner, gives them tools to deal with anything they are worried about, and helps them to step into parenthood.

If you would like others to come too (doula, friend, family member) they are very welcome too, please let me know who you intend to bring so I can make sure they are accommodated.

  • Can I do the course alone?

Yes, of course! If you would like to do the course on your own, let me know and I can provide some additional resources so you can do the techniques yourself.

If you decide to bring a birthing partner, it doesn't have to be a life partner, it can be a doula, family member or a friend.

  • Why is the course the length it is?

The course has been carefully crafted over the last 20 years to give you the best antenatal education and birth preparation possible. The course covers everything that you would find in other antenatal courses but with a different focus. Each part of the course builds to the next part so that you can feel confident about your body, how to navigate the maternity systems and how to have the best birth for you.

If you see a hypnobirthing course that is shorter, you are being short changed and will not get the full benefit of all of the information and techniques available.

  • Should I do Hypnobirthing or NCT/NHS Antenatal courses?

The feedback that I have had from many parents that I have taught over the years, who have done more than one course is that other groups are good for meeting friends, Birth Right Hypnobirthing classes are good for preparing for birth.

One of the things that parents have noticed is that that other courses tend to focus on how to comply with the maternity systems and the interventions that are very commonplace. Birth Right Hypnobirthing courses focus on the birth that is right for you and how to achieve that birth.

My courses are purposely small so that you get the most personalised course possible, so if you are hoping to meet lots of other parents, I can't promise that. What I can assure you is that if you take my classes you are going to have a better birthing experience than without it.
