The business of fuelling the world through hydrocarbon production must be carried out with optimum profitability. Participants will learn how sand production and inadvertent formation damage can erode these profits. Methods and procedures will be presented to guide the participants in decision making with regards to completing a well with optimum control of formation sand while incurring minimal damage to the well or production zone. Extensive theory will be presented illustrating why certain practices should either be employed or strictly avoided. The very latest in the use of forecasting methods, tools, techniques, and personal experiences will be presented.
