About White Rose Aikikai
Independent association of Aikido dojos | Martial Arts | Aikido | Self-defence | Yorkshire,White Rose Aikikai is an independent association of Aikido dojos. It was formed in 1979 by Shane Riley Shihan, 7th Dan, to promote and foster the practice and spirit of Traditional Aikido as originated by O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba. The association is a member of the British Aikido Board (BAB), and enjoys links with many Aikido organisations and individual high-ranking instructors in the UK and throughout the world, which enables it to fulfill its primary aims. These are the further development of Aikido through the individual’s commitment to its principles and philosophy, and conversely, the development of the individual through a lifetime study of Aikido.
