1234567 Established in March 2012, Universities Economic Development Unit supports and facilitates collective activity, engagement and representation for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the North West and beyond in relation to European Structural Fund issues. In addition to managing European-funded projects, UEDU also undertakes a range of activities linked to the wider European agenda including providing technical, audit and compliance advice to HE stakeholders as well as representational, networking and lobbying activities. Based in Manchester with a team of four staff, the company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the University of Chester who provide host services to the Unit.
