Come along to our tomato open day, where we will have a garden tour and tasters, tomato seed saving demo, cookery demo, kids activities, tomato art, tomato throwing competition, a delicious lunch (tickets to be purchased separately) and a bar and music.
There will be a tour in the morning from 11:30, plus a fantastic lunch made by Laura Joyce from the Tiffin Box.
We will be celebrating the diversity of the tomatoes that we grow at Trill Farm Garden, talking about some of the interesting varieties that are grown in the market garden and all about seed, but also just celebrating the market garden at this time of the year.
CASH ONLY for the bar.
Plan for the day:
11:30 - Morning tour of the garden, with a special focus on the tomatoes, including tasters and a seed saving demo
1:15 - Lunch (this can be booked as an extra or feel free to bring your own) plus music from Tom Nancarrow
2 - Tomato cookery demo
3 - Tomato throwing competition (see how far you can throw a tomato with a partner before you drop it or it splats all over you)
4 - Market Gardening Q & A
If you would like to book for lunch, please make sure you do this on the booking page. Please also bring cash for the bar.
BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL. We do not want to exclude anyone from the event who cannot afford to buy tickets, so please get in touch if you can't find the money to come and we can offer discounts and free tickets.
CASH ONLY for the bar etc. so don't forget to bring some!
Sorry, please leave your dogs at home.
Of course! There will be things for the kids to get involved in, and they are welcome for free.
You will need to add on a lunch ticket to your booking if you would like lunch too. Lunch is £15 per person and £7.50 for kids
