Human personalities follow patterns and pathways.
The Enneagram offers a symbol that helps us uncover our own.
In this Soul Shed gathering on January 18th, the first in a themed series, we will explore the Enneagram as a living pattern that describes the movement of energy, and how that energy organises and expresses itself through a human life.

Just as water may become a river, a waterfall, a lake or the sea — remaining watery throughout — so each of us remains humany while finding into our character through recognisable pathways. The Enneagram shows us these pathways, and invites us into greater consciousness around them.
Working with the Enneagram in three parts — body, heart, and mind — is like seeing the way you dance through life. Rather than fixing identity in one place, tri-part Enneagram reveals selfhood as a dynamic, responsive pattern, shaped through our correspondence with whatever — and whoever — we turn our attention towards.
At The Soul Shed, this way of working has proved especially liberating. In coming to know ourselves as embodied beings with a heart as well as a mind, identity becomes less rigid and more like a living, creative expression of life force. When we soften around moments of “hard-wiring,” new kinds of choice, freedom, and responsiveness can emerge.
Each archetypal pattern offers a distinct way of humaning. Together, they illuminate how we navigate:
matters of body and instinct (power, boundaries, anger),
matters of heart and identity (relationship, longing, shame),
matters of mind and meaning (fear, planning, guidance).
In this workshop, you’ll be invited to explore:
which strategy you rely on most,
which acts as backup,
and which emerges when the other to no longer serve.
And, from here we will give the body strategy particular attention.
This exploration is gentle, experiential, and relational. Our personalities are survival strategies, and they come with blind spots. That’s why this kind of journeying is especially powerful when done in community, with care, curiosity, and time.
You don’t need prior Enneagram knowledge — just a willingness to listen, notice, and reflect.
