Wellness Lab: Supporting colleagues who experience anxiety
Mental health challenges have steadily risen in recent years, which means that more of your colleagues experience anxiety than ever before - whether you know it or not. And each person's anxiety may show up in different ways.
The first thing we can do to better support our colleagues is understanding anxiety. Then we can learn strategies to help people to slow their thoughts, relax the body and take a measured approach to their anxiety. When colleagues feel supported it means they experience greater belonging in the team and hopefully able to manage their challenges more effectively.

Understanding what anxiety is and how it may manifest for different people.
Awareness of the different contributors to anxiety.
A tool to help you talk colleagues through negative or worrying thoughts.
Strategies for supporting colleagues who are experiencing a panic attack.
Tips for helping anxious colleagues to engage with and relax their body.
Prompts for generating a workplace wellbeing plan to put support in place.
And we’ll end with a deep relaxation exercise to help you take wellness into the next part of your day.
