The School of Arts at Oxford Brookes University brings together filmmakers, fine artists, graphic designers, musicians, photographers, journalists, publishers and beyond to form an inspiring, dynamic community of creatives. We cultivate a collaborative and exploratory approach to what we do. We are home to a hub of research. From across art, music, publishing, digital media and film, our researchers are engaged in practice-based, digital, theoretical and archival research. The School of Art has been recognised for its research into areas such as audience and reception studies, sonic art, musicology, film theory and fine art. The School of Arts is proud to have a strong partnership with Modern Art Oxford. The partnership places an emphasis on diversity and access to participation and professional development opportunities within the creative sector. A range of initiatives including an internship scheme for Oxford Brookes BA Fine Art students provides a platform for the next generation of creative professionals.
