About The Living Paintings Trust

We give thousands of blind and partially sighted people the opportunity to borrow our Touch to See books from a free postal library. Our books are enjoyed at home with family and friends, in schools, or for adults as members of one of our community Touch to See Book Clubs around the country. There are up to two million people in the UK living with severe sight loss, including 20,000 children. One in six of us will become blind or partially sighted by the time we reach 75. Blind and partially sighted people face constant challenges, for children they can’t take part in the same activities as their peers and siblings and often feel excluded, and in later life sight loss can be linked to increasing isolation and depression. Giving access to the visual world through Touch to See books Living Paintings helps by giving blind and partially sighted people access to the visual world.
