Relaxed and friendly atmosphere with tuition delivered by instructors trained at the Body Control Pilates (BCP) Centre in London. All levels of ability welcome with courses and private sesssions available for those with specific requirements. Our focus on posture, form and control makes our workouts safe and effective. What is Pilates? Pilates is a mental and physical body-conditioning programme that uses exercises to change the way in which we use our bodies. It aims to improve muscle recruitment patterns, by restoring good postural alignment and natural normal movement. The repetition of these sound movement patterns during Pilates sessions promotes this way of movement into daily activites. Who is it for? The flexibility of Pilates enables it to be used by a wide range of people with different goals and capabilities from rehabilitation to elite training. Pilates exercise is suitable for all ages and abilities, regardless of level of fitness. It is particularly beneficial for those with lower back pain, shoulder or neck stiffness and poor posture.
