Fiona Balding is an experienced educator with 38 years of teaching Textiles and Food in secondary schools. A lifelong printmaker, she discovered eco-printing in 2016 — and was instantly captivated by its beauty, creativity, and sustainability. Since then, she has dedicated herself to mastering and sharing this fascinating process.
Sustainability lies at the heart of Fiona’s work. Every element is considered — from composting used plant materials to using mordants that double as natural garden fertilisers. Her preferred fabrics are reclaimed treasures: recycled cotton sheets, vintage linens, and old silk wedding dresses found in charity shops.
Fiona’s workshops are energetic, hands-on, and inspiring — expect to get creative, experiment freely, and be amazed by what you can achieve in just one day.
