Join us for a day of wet felting at Stitching Kitchen. Using Merino Wool Fibers and a range of other prefect, fibres and open weave fabrics you can create a series of felt samples which can then be used for stitching.
What you will learn/achieve
Selecting a colour pallet for your squares based around colour theory
Laying out fibres to create a good quality prefelt
Cut the prefelt and add additional fibres, textures and shapes
Full at least a couple of squares - you will need to complete your felting process at home
Discussion and planning about embelishments once your felted squares are dry.
What's included
Tuition: full instruction and support in a small class (maximum of 6).
Use of our felting supplies in Stitching Kitchen's fully equipped crafting studio.
All materials and instructions are provided with hands on help and guidance from Hannah through the day
Tea and cake.
What to bring
Bring along a couple of hand towels to help with keeping your fingers dry in between wet felting and also for rolling.
We will stop for half an hour at lunch time, bring along something to eat.
This workshop is taking place downstairs in the creative studio space. The creative studio is fully accessible with disabled access via a concrete ramp from the car park and disabled toilet facilities all on the ground floor.
About your tutor
Hannah has been crafting since she was a child, she loves textile art, making with fabric, thread and fibre. She teaches and shares her passion and skills in textile art, felt making and also dressmaking and quilting.

Yes, you may get a better result if you have felted before but I keep the student numbers low for this class so you will have plently of hands on help.
