We are a friendly, dedicated and inclusive junior school in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire and are fortunate to have a large and attractive site with leafy school grounds. The main school building, The Widdows, is an English Heritage listed building which opened in 1937 and features in the Midway Heritage Trail. Pupils join our school at the age of 7 when they are in Year 3 and remain with us for 4 years, leaving at the end of Year 6. We have 2 parallel classes in each of the year groups in Key Stage 2 as well as a dedicated Enhanced Resource Unit for pupils with a diagnosis of Autism. Our pupils are at the heart of our school and we pride ourselves on our inclusive ethos and commitment to improvement. We offer a rich and varied curriculum and encourage all our pupils to immerse themselves in every aspect of school life so that they can develop a love of learning and have the skills and knowledge to uphold our values and make positive choices for a happy and successful life.
