About North East London Social Work Teaching Partnership
The North East London Social Work Teaching Partnership (NELTP) comprises the London boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Waltham Forest and Tower Hamlets together with the University of East London and London Metropolitan University The NELTP has been funded by the Department for Education from 2018 to 2020 to improve standards in the Social Work workforce in our region. The project aims to: Create progression pathways for staff Plan for future workforce needs Improve digital literacies amongst social workers Support staff to develop their practice Disseminate good practice in social work nationally Why do you need us? The teaching partnership aims to help people at all stages of their social work careers – including students, newly qualified staff and more experienced practitioners. The social work profession needs collaborative support and to be kept up to date with the latest developments taking place locally. What next? We will produce case studies for the DFE in the following areas: Academics into practice Workforce and Labour Market planning Progression Practice support & development Placement & Curriculum Academic delivery
