Shinrin-Yoku is a Japanese term that translates to ‘forest bathing’ or taking in the forest atmosphere through all of the senses.” The Japanese have been practicing Shinrin - Yoku since the early 80s. A national nature therapy health program was launched in Japan in 1982 after Japanese researchers discover the science behind the health benefits of walking and spending time in nature. Our Society has become fast-paced, and often hectic. The World Health Organisation [WHO] calls stress the health epidemic of the twenty-first century.
