I soon realised that mindfulness practice is far more powerful than anything i had ever learnt in medical school. I have worked within the health service for over 30 years , initially as a nurse and then retraining as a General practitioner. Discovering mindfulness was the most transformational experience for me at a difficult time in my life. As i felt the benefits of my personal practice in my day i knew that i had to share this ancient wisdom, that was still very relevant to our modern lives. I have worked within the health service for over 40years. Initially this was as a nurse and then retraining as a General Practitioner. I had discovered something far more powerful than anything i had ever learnt at medical school. How could i not share this now? Mindfulness is for everyone, so do not worry if you have never experienced meditation before. It is a very simple practice of paying attention to the present moment by using our breath and body as anchors to the Now. When we do so we begin to unhook from the constant busy thoughts that are the creators of our stress. We begin to embrace ALL of life as it is in all it's MESSINESS!
