Welcome to our website. Ellenfield Community College is an all gender, multi-denominational mixed ability, mainstream post-primary school. The school is one of twenty-three colleges, at post-primary and further education level, under the auspices of the City of Dublin Education and Training Board. Located on Thatch Road, Whitehall, Dublin 9 our school is beside a major transport route stretching from Dublin's city centre to Swords. Our catchment area includes Dublin's city centre, Drumcondra, Glasnevin, Finglas, Ballymun, Coolock, Santry, Beaumont, Donnycarney, Swords, and Whitehall. Working in partnership with our Board of Management, parents and the wider community our school has a proud record of responding to the ever changing needs of students in our care. Our caring and committed teaching staff provide a high quality inclusive education in a supportive atmosphere which respects diversity. With an emphasis on raising expectations, and an holistic education in a smaller school setting, each student is recognised for their unique talents and giftedness. To prepare students for life beyond post-primary school, students are challanged to work hard to achieve their full potential over six years in a wide variety of programmes.
